If you people don't mind, I'm going to start a kind of diary in here.
Not today, however.
Tomorrow. probably.
And I'm going to expand on the cyborg plan storyline... just store all those horrible, feasible concepts about turning the world into a cyBorg society.
Store them where they can be found.
Like mines in a rice field.
Hmmm. Looks very not nice. Allright. I'll start to explain why, tomorrow.

Re: observe weblog
Tue, February 3, 2004 - 11:50 AMWell.... I didn't find time...
just this, and anyway, it's the main keystone of what comes after:
Have you ever imagined what the world could be like, if everybody got educated properly, and got a chance to expand his limits maximally ? -

Re: observe weblog
Thu, March 11, 2004 - 7:17 AMHow did we get here ? Ah, it's a sad story. Remember, I once asked if you could imagine the world if all of us would have been teached to set goals, and how to reach them?
Well, they surely did not teach me. I had to do it all by myself. See where it got me. University degree, multilingual, middle class, gentle wife, nice home, and stuff, and a vast knowledge of all sciences .
Cute, no ?
No. More like total failure, that's how I see it. Totally insignificant. I should have concentrated on science, on maths. Now, my parafysica - it transforms the paradoxes in string theory into a substance of consciousness, very concise, really - is but a hypothesis. It could have been a theory.
Not that I really care. I just use it, as a hypothesis, as an element of thi suniverse I am constrcuting in writing.
It is a dangerous place. I'm building something that attaches firmly, and in many points, to the-world-that-is. Like a giant sailing ship riding out a storm on it's anchors.
But the problem is that this private universe is an interesting place. And I'm spending lots of time in there, getting good at the building, the manipulation of words and concepts. Hiding there when reality gets on my nerves. Which happens often, these days.

Thu, March 11, 2004 - 7:32 AMCould be a
good thing(release, escape,TEMPORARY escape in order to rest and deal better w/real world upon your return to it)
OR
Bad thing(escape, TOTAL escape w/ no more reality return and no more coping with same)...
Be careful, Ylmar. -

Re: observe weblog
Mon, June 7, 2004 - 11:04 PMwhile roaming tribe, I chanced upon the expression "da(r)win fish".
afer some googling and a few links, that brought me to a few conservative Christian sites.
Well, well, ....., well.
Flabbergasted, it left me.
So these guys really exist ? They really believe in a personal god that has stooped down to create them, and stoops even deeper to check if they behave according to those petty rules.
(It makes me think of my wife, who is called the Goddess of Wrath by the poor little ants that live - try to live - in our garden.)
But why am I surprised ? I know very well that any neuronal network can be taught to produce any output in function of any input. The teaching is exactly that. Therefore teaching, eductation, is all-important.
And so they read the bible, and believe what it says, because that's what they are taught. Note that the Bible can be substituted by the Quoran, the Veda's, Bardo Thodol, Tao.
The men in the seats of Power know that they are there, and find them usefull, exactly as they are, believing and obeying. And they use them for their purpose, whatever these are, and avoid to educate them.
My God - the God Atman, who I conceived to be consistent with quantum physics, compatible with granular space-time - has allowed (part of) it's substance of consciousness to be transformed into matter and energy. Nothing can be important to that god except consciousness of true knowledge.
If such a god would define sin, it would be willfull ignorance and the witholding of eductation.
Right. I have to work this out a little. I might start a religion. (Just for the money, mind you. Atman never bothers ) -

Re: observe weblog
Tue, June 8, 2004 - 4:47 AMAll I have to say is ...A-MEN!
I agree. Knowledge...Truth...EDUCATION! THESE are the enemies of Christian Fundamentalism. They are ,also, what NEEDS to be RAISED as basic pursuits.
Ok...I'll help you with starting that religion...but...being HUMAN ...something would sooner or later, go awry...and you would become like all other law writes in all other organized religions...corrupt with power, hungry for more... -

Re: observe weblog
Mon, June 28, 2004 - 3:18 AMI've been two weeks away on holiday, and I come back and there's not a single tribe action item...
I guess nobody in here loves me...
Maybe I should display more tact...

Re: observe weblog
Tue, August 3, 2004 - 1:46 PMI like this diary thing... interesting to be able to freeze my thoughts for later analysis, somehow.
I also like the idea that I can post things here, that will be hidden in full sight of the public...
because, I'm working at something real horrifying, these days.... a single, simple answer to all our questions... but not a happy ending ... then again, I might be wrong...
~ wicked grin ~ (my standard facial expression) -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

Re: observe weblog
Thu, August 5, 2004 - 1:27 PMry'a'chto looks like it will be fun.
what do i mean by that : it will be difficult to get it right, to create a world of tribes of intelligent octopi.
and to attache that what I know about octopi, to keep it consistent - POSSIBLE...
to explain the tree of life... to such a being, with its limited worldview ...
(as has a midwestman, or a bush pygmee, for that matter)
getting where it got today, i might reconsider and give them a religion... (or no, let's see how I manoeuver myself out of the dreamspace/seaspace - yes , those things seem to write themselves )
well, enyoy.. I'll keep the text there and the designer comment here..

Re: observe weblog
Mon, January 3, 2005 - 12:18 PMhmmm... been a while since i've been here.... all is dusty
store something for me, silent room :
And, suddenly , the viewpoint changes. Why look for the Turing machine ? He is the Turing machine... or rather, a myriad of turing machines, a myriad of living cells, combining to peform a greater operation than each of them alone could do... selforganisation, there is a theory about that, forgot the name, by a Belgian, anyway... Gol something ?
Does their existence have a purpose ? is there a design behind it ? Or is the universe so designed a to sprout these cells, have the design hidden behind the laws that defeat chaos ?
Easy enough to define a purpose, behind it all... He can think of two, offhand, that are served by these cells... and in both cases, self-awareness and intelligence, are but by-products, or simple accidents... impurities not even noticed by That what Harvests the produces of life -
