this may be a repeat for one or two of you...

About the song Brain Damage:
***There is a tendency within most societies to try and force everybody into a particular regimen...and,um... stop people from walking on the grass.
There's something about, I suppose about that particular lyric...something about producing grass...and then not letting anybody enjoy it...
You know...Let's make a beautiful lawn and then not let anybody walk on it or kick a ball about on it or do anything on it...
In a way it's about the DESIRE to walk on the grass being mad...
Something wrong about that...***

Sun, February 8, 2004 - 8:25 AMnow, really, you disappoint me, Vera
Finally there is a government that respects plants' rights... and YOU want to turn the clock back, to times where grass was just there to be walked on ? No way ... Plants have the right to be treated with respect. Who produces your oxygen, think about that.
Mind you, in a few years, grass might deny herbivores the right to eat it... better start a fishburger chain right now... -

within the scope of my personal theory of life and consciousness, it is not just a gag...
A quotation from Niven's ringworld: "Everything that lives is the ennemi of the photosynthesing plant"

Mon, February 9, 2004 - 12:19 AMWOW!! and hiya Vera, its been a while my friend...
Dark Side Of The Moon. Now that takes me back a bit..Listening to that album over and over with, how should I say,new eyes? was a favorite past time back in the day..
I had always associated the moon and self(being human)as the same, within these lyrics.the "dark side" of the moon is behavior not accepted by the "particular regimen"In fact,to not follow their guidelines and allow them to lead your will and thought"theres someone in my head but its not me" is considered lunicy.(My spelling is not good..lol)To think for yourself and not travel the path chosen for you is defying the stay off grass sign."the lunitic is on the grass".Yet they continue to try to "keep the lunar's on the path"..notice were back to moon/lunar?...Its late and now my head hurts...thanx Vera...LOL....`Paul.L`
