Myriads of immortal souls of the dead swerve through the void, like plankton in the oceans.
Just like the algae in the plankton, the souls are immortal, they feed on light and multiply.

In this setting, imagine what "To become one with God" could signifie.
Consider the mathematics of evolution: Predators are nothing but a mathematical consequence of the existence of a biosphere.
